I was working in some item on my car, shift cables & sanding down the bolts on the c500 connectors. Put everything back together & losened the bolt to the distributor to time the engine (3.4L) & the fuel pump is silent when turning over the key. I must have bumped something, because it was working fine 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas? What have I done?

If your fuel pump is running off the oil pressure sensor.....your fuel pump relay is bad. The oil pressure sensor switch to the fuel pump was intended to be a back-up connection.

Plus normally if only running on OP switch you have:
FP will NOT turn on w/ the key because of relay issues.
Long starter to get OP switch to see enough oil pressure for switch to turn on.

even if you have somehow wired the relay and OP switch in series, OP switch would cause same problem.
