I'm about to hook up my plug wires and I'm not sure what number each cylinder is. the coil pack is numbered but not the engine so I know this is probably a repetitious question but what are the cylinder numbers on the 3800 ? Any diagrams would be awesome.
Thanks to all. This forum is full of such helpful , nice , beautiful people.

A quick look up on the internet (hopefully it's correct): In a Fiero 2,4,6 would be closet to the trunk and 1,3,5 would be on against the firewall with #1 being at the front of the engine.

Yes but this is a 3800sc that is being swapped into a fiero.

I'm sure many know here the plug wires go.

Hello! I own a 2000GTP and I think when you swap it in a fiero it is opposite. Here is the number's while it is in a GTP:

So it should be 2-4-6 closest to you while your looking at it from the rear. Hope that helps

I'll "try" to make this easier.
Except for Ford, on V engines there is an odd side and an even side. 1,3,5 2,4,6 Ford likes 1,2,3 4,5,6. Except for International gas engines, the head/cylinder that is closest to the front or timing cover is no.1
Most 60 degree engines 2.8 3.1 3.4 the rear/right bank has no.1.
Most 90 degree V engines the left/front bank is no.1 Except Ford. US engines.
Looking from the drivers side into the engine bay 2.8 no.1 is the one to the right/trunk side. 3800 no.1 to the left/firewall side.
2.8 no.1 closest to the dogbone. 3800 no.1 closest to the battery.
2.8 firing order is easy 123456 3.8 165432

When I say "Opposite" I mean if it's in the car it would be like this (sorry the numbers are upside down.)

Your standing here looking in the engine bay /\

Sorry for the confusion.

Oh please don't be sorry... I thank you all for your help. I am very appreciative.

As I said being that the engine is still on the stand your picture is very valuable.
