Hey guys need some help. I was told that to fit a f40 behind a 3800sc you need to go with the rwd flywheel and spec has a clutch for that setup. Question is do I need to have the flywheel machined down like I would for a getrag swap or can I leave it stock? What about balancing? The engine is 2002.

Leave flywheel stock thickness use the F40 SPEC clutch and also use a .25 HTOB spacer

I would as it is now balanced for the 3800NA not the SC engine

Forum member fierorog sells flywheels balanced for this swap. I am using his flywheel with a spec stage 3+ kit (spec part # SC883F-4). The spec kit comes with the clutch disk, pressure plate, and the spacer for the htob.
