How could you "forget" to jumper the ALDL when the timing is done?

Goes to show that when helping someone diagnose a problem here that we can't assume anything.

Oh well, you've got guts to admit what you did (or in this case, didn't do).

I haven't timed a distributor in 3 years! XD And the last one I did was vacuum :P

Well damn, even with the old distributors you had to disconnect the vacuum advance before doing the ignition timing!
