The radio antenna on my 85 2M4 was missing when I bought the car a couple of years ago. I purchased an aftermarket replacement antenna that had different sized thread adaptors but I couldn't get any of the thread sizes to thread on. Does anyone know if the car takes a special size? Thanks

I do not know exactly what one is needed, but yes it is pretty unique. I went through a local salvage yard taking antenna's off of tons of Pontiac's, Buick's, Chevy's ect, and was not able to find a single one with the same threads.

From the same vintage?

At some point in the 90's (?) GM changed the size of the plug on the radio end of the cable. It's possible that the thread size for the antenna changed at some point as well.

I can't swear to it, but I seem to recall the antenna from my '78 Z28 Camaro fit a Fiero.

If you are interested I may actually have an extra Fiero antenna in my spare parts collection. It came off one of my Meras and should fit without any issues.

If they can't find their antenna this is what I just pickup. There is a gap around for water to leak but I plan on putting it in the fender to hide it.
