kool, that works... I can run that right into my phone and put it in a holder on the dash, that will do the trick... so I need an OBD1 bluetooth ALDL unit then... any pointers as to what to get and where to go for it?

Yeah some Fiero guy came up with it - http://www.reddevilriver.com/ALDL_Bluetooth.html

If your phone is newer and supports "USB Host Mode" (check your version) you can connect your android via a USB cable. See https://play.google.com/sto...roux.aldldroid&hl=en

lol, smartalec
ok, guess I add that to my parts list from you, lol

ok, so anything else I need to get from Moates other than the burn2?
does anyone know about that Innovate gauge and if it comes with the sensor and/or if it's worthwhile? I assume they don't sell junk there, he has a pretty long-standing reputation, but figure I'd ask just in case...

Edit: Woo Hoo... Gearhead-EFI finally sent my activation link, I can actually download from there now, lol... got the proper BIN for my BCC code, looks proper, although some of the EGR stuff is disabled... diggin the 255mph speed limiter in it tho, lol...
makin progress, lol...
now for a final parts list for each supplier, and then I can make my orders and send people my money, hehe

Not sure if being from Canada makes this make sense but this is the programmer I use the most. It actually can burn the stock chips however you would still need the UV eraser and it takes extra time. I don't recommend going the stock chip route. I see they ship from BC. Anyways without having to go through international shipping maybe this is a better way to go.

I also have the Burn2 but since I program Fiero chips, and it's fairly hard to use the 27SF512 in a stock Fiero ECM, I default to this one.

Anyways just another option to make your decision harder.

-----
Just because there is some option on your PROM doesn't mean GM used that option. For example the 255 speed limit is GM's way of turning off the speed limit. It is the highest value that can be entered. Entering -40 for the fan on temp means the cooling fan would be on all the time. There might be will be minutia in the programming the engineers thought might be needed that when it came to production programming on an actual vehicle wasn't used. Or perhaps just used in the California version.

lol, yah, that's pretty much what I figured, I just had to chuckle when I saw it... I always thought that most of these 3800 cars were limited at just over 125mph, it was funny seeing it set for that high, lol
that burner would work too... and yah, not having to cross the border with it makes it that much easier, plus BC is right next door to us here in Alberta, lol...
so is there anything else I would need from him that I can't get from you?
I spose I should look at a UV cleaner if I wanna be able to do the older stuff like the Fiero chips, right? considering I will have to fine tune things for both my cam'ed 2.8 85 GT and my 3.4Hybrid motor when I eventually swap it into a Fiero, and I'm not sure what kind of chip my TBI Chevy's use, one is 88 the other is 89, but they are the R/V body, not the C/K, so I don't know if there's a difference in the ECM or the programming codes... I looked for anything specific to the R/V line, but nothing showed up...

can you still get the chips for the Fiero ECM? or would I need to make a stockpile of ECM's? lol

well, I officially started assembly of my harness tonite... C500 is done, C203 is next, then adding the last couple sensors to the C260 3800 connector... if I had remembered to go out yesterday while stores were still open and track down a pair of airline fittings to patch the fuel lines together, I could have almost been ready for first fire come morning, lol...

hey Timm, how do I order more than 1 item from your site? I don't see a shopping cart option to be able to make a list...

also, my programmer just came in, and I have TunerPro RT, besides a few chips and the Bluetooth adaptor, what else will I need from you?
