Is the slave cylinder moving an inch or so when the clutch pedal is depressed?

The seal in your master cylinder could also be blown so that when its put under pressure it fails to hold the pressure. Are you able to disengage the clutch at the transmission by moving the lever by hand?

I have not measured but from what I can tell it looks to be about an inch of travel I have not tried to move it yet by hand
