What is the best and/or easiest way to remove an automatic trans from my Fiero? Dropping the entire cradle? Tilting it down? Thanks in advance.

Dropping entire cradle. The tranny bell housing won't fit around the torque converter pretty much any other way. You are going to need to slide that tranny out about 5-6 inches at least and there is nowhere near enough space in the engine bay.

But this way you can take care of all the other stuff and really get to know your engine!

Suspend drivetrain with bridge device. Unbolt drivetrain mounts from cradle. Disconnect exhaust downpipe from crossover. Unbolt calipers from caliper mounts and hang. Remove axle nut. Remove strut/knuckle by removing top three nuts and disconnecting ball joint from a-arm (88 is different) and pulling off of axle. Remove axles. Disconnect and loop trans cooling hoses. Remove cradle, leaving drivetrain suspended. Remove bell housing bolts and dust shield. Disconnect shift cable and TCC plug. Remove engine to trans brace. Remove torque converter to flexplate bolts. Lower transmission with cherry picker.
