I dont even know the deal with the white doughnuts that hold the glass and what next after the rivets hold them together. TY GUYS
PS let me know if this is in the right area of the forum in case moderators move it and i have to find it in its correct location
Can I do that. Its nogo cause i had a shop work on the car said the oil pressure would fluctuate and they said bad sensor. Paid to replace n 2 days later my motor popped. Want to save this formula gem so an engine is needed. Still runs just knocks. Only drove it about 500 miles n 3 years. Typically do my own work have a lot invested already. New mounts top/bottom, new clutch/bearing, springs, struts, distributor, polution lines, calipers, rotors, brakes, side select cable, short throw, all e-brake cables, rebuilt headlights AND A TON MORE. REALLY its a new car outside of the motor.
You might be able to buy replacement door glass from Prosource Glass, but I don't know if they have any in stock still from the previous batch. Contact them and see. The owner of it, Richard, is also on the forum here, but I don't recall his username. He's posted threads before when new batches were being ordered.
The poster in this thread replaced the window from the bottom of a stripped door frame that was removed from the car. I believe that the same technique can be used without door removal if you have the ability to raise the car about 3 feet about the ground. I have a door glass to replace and am dreading the job. Both the door skin and the inner door panel need to be removed to get a replacement window in that has the rollers attached. The only thing that I would add is to mark the position of every component so that alignment becomes easier to do.
