I wasn't really sure where to put this. I need to cut down the valve guides on my 383 and wondered if anyone here maybe had the Comp valve guide cutting tool and arbor they would be willing to loan or rent. I don't really want to buy one as I'll only use it once and then be done with it, so I figured I'd just throw out the question. Not really expecting it'll happen but ya never know.

Check your local parts stores, many now have a loan a tool program for tools that they ask for a deposit on the tool and then when you bring it back you get your deposit back, now not all of them do that and not all of them have every tool so you may have to call a few to get one.

Good luck

Steve

I called, and wasn't surprised to hear that they don't carry them. They're machine tools of a sort for one, and not something someone is going to ask for every day I would guess.
