just to add info to the forum, on new distributor caps, look at the pins inside, 75% of new caps have crooked pins in them, return/don't buy it if they are.

It is something to look at as far as new caps go, they just suck, really really, suck. but look for crooked pins. (on the inside) EVERY brand is like this, from high $$$ to cheap ones. All the same problem. cheap china crap. I go through alot of caps doing work on the local Fieros, tune ups etc. I see it alomst every time I get one or someone brings me one.

One example came from Summit, high $$$ was bad, thay said "we have never seen this" sent him a new one, same damn thing, to the point we got one local so we could look through thier entire stock to get a good one.

Keep an eye out people, as everyone wants perfection, right?

I've seen the same problem with the contacts being loose and/or crooked on new caps.
I was able to find a good quality one at NAPA with brass contacts instead of the usual aluminum.
