Question about water pump replacement on 3800-please help! by Lou and Blue

Does the idler pulley under the water pump need to be removed to change the water pump? I can't seem to get the bottom right 1/2 inch bolt out because it hits the plastic pulley.
Please let me know.

Is the idler for the power steering pump delete? I had to take the power steering pump loose to do the water pump on my gtp

No this is just a plastic pulley, I already removed the power steering pump.

Yes I know on mine, I had to remove the pulley to get that one bolt out. I think mine took a T50 torx bit to get it off. Not sure about yours
