Yes, I know about the poly ones. I already have a stack that came with my full poly kit and they suck. Does anyone have a part number for the proper tie rod/BJ dust boots with the METAL washer integrated into the top and bottom? I have very good tie rod ends on the rear but the boots are shot. Thanks.

I was trying to find the same sort of thing for the ball joints on my '84... with no luck. Finally had to settle for a rubber "cup" with no metal retainer.

I forget the size I got now, but it was one of THESE. Not what I wanted, but better than the ripped up boots that were on there. (Never use a pickle-fork on ball joints you aren't replacing!)

Yeah, the Dorman / "Help!" # 13562 is what I'm looking at. It's either 9/16 or 1/2" depending on where you measure. I have a friend at a parts store who can check if it has the metal, but I'm guessing it's only rubber so I'm considering just using the prothane poly that I have. That's too bad. Maybe I'll think of a way to reliably bond a metal washer to it. Mainly I'm worried about the bottom since the top has something covering it...
