I'm picking up a 4 speed manual out of a 85 V6.
When I swap it in, I'll be putting a new clutch disk, pressure plate and throw out bearing while its a part and replacing the shaft seals.
What else should I change out, or at least inspect, so I don't have to do this job again? And for those things which I am inspecting, what should I be looking for?

I got the tranny and opened the case. Its clean inside, and no stripped out gears. What else do I check?
How do I confirm the bearings are good?
