Will any bolt on the transmission work for grounding the engine to the chassis.? I want to add an extra and thinking of a bellhousing stud to the deck lid hinge bolt would this be a good spot for a ground?

I think i am going to install the battery and try and start the car any thing i should watch for during first start?

Engine was not rebuild used junk yard motor
Added engine oil, transmission fluid, only got 2 gallons of coolant in guessing more will fit once it gets up to operating temperature. I got everything pluged in except for the sensor for the air intake since i just put a cone filter on for now. No exhaust yet just headers so will be loud.

If it starts should i just let it idle untill it reaches temp? cant drive it since shift cables not finished. What should my oil pressure gauge read and what will normal temp be for a 3800?

Thanks for the reply. Car has no power at the moment trying to figure out what i did wrong. I dont know what its call but the block with 2 studs that the small gauge positive wire from battery connects to has 12v on the lower stud and none on the upper. Should it have power at both?

You need to have something that bridges power between the two.

I bridged them and got power to the car but it would not crank. I have a leaking fuel injector that needs to be fixed before I try to start it again. Hopefully next weekend it will be running. Thanks
