I think i am going to install the battery and try and start the car any thing i should watch for during first start? Oll pressure #1 should be at least 30 psi cold idle. feel water pipes, make sure coolant is circulating and the gauge starts to rise.
Engine was not rebuild used junk yard motor Added engine oil, transmission fluid, only got 2 gallons of coolant in guessing more will fit once it gets up to operating temperature. I got everything pluged in except for the sensor for the air intake since i just put a cone filter on for now. No exhaust yet just headers so will be loud.
If it starts should i just let it idle untill it reaches temp? cant drive it since shift cables not finished. What should my oil pressure gauge read and what will normal temp be for a 3800? |
