Hey guys,
I'm new here but have found most information on this board for the last 2 years of owning my Fiero, so I haven't had the need to post . This forum is loaded with info and I love it. I have an 86 Fiero SE / Notchback V6 model and don't have too many mods besides just doing exhaust and cold air stuff. (The basics) . I've been looking at changing wheels but don't know if I want to or not as most 17s to me look like you have to lower car to make look right. Factory suspension on mine needs to be about the .80 that the Eibach springs provide for lowering to look right with me with factory mesh 15x7s. (just my opinion, too big of a gap) My problem is I can't make up my mind of keeping the factory wheels and just lowering the vehicle or actually getting some 17s that are easier to find, problem is, I'd like to go wide on back, but it looks as if in order to , you have to do coilovers. I've found the wheel pages but (show your wheels off page) , and the other (best notchback page) . I have looked these over alot, and some of the people I cannot reach anymore . I like the look of the mesh wheels (factory , but think it needs to be lowered just about 1 inch to close gap a bit. My question is this..... have there been anymore pages on wheels that look good with factory suspensions? Here's the two threads I've looked at so far:

Here's the link to your pic I like, wondering if you still have ride or not
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...0710-1-027571-5.html

I love Black-AZZ-GTs wheels too.... Is he still on here and does anybody know what wheels these are and also suspension what he did?

Here's the other link
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/052912-13.html

Does anybody know of anymore pages that are more recent with more recent wheels? I'd love to see more options on what I could find to do. I can just put the mesh wheels back on(which don't look bad )(can have refinished) or what options do I have suspension wise too. Does anybody make the coilovers or is that just something we have to do (mod wise) . I know it sounds like I'm everywhere , but I'm just looking for the proper setup and wheels of my choice that I think will look good. Thanks and if anybody can help me out , please send me links etc, only been in this for about 2 years, so be easy... hah.... Talk to you guys soon, thanks for any info please

Welcome to the forum madness (at least posting wise).

The last link is probably the best to see what others have done. Probably could use a bump for new blood.

As for wheel size, obviously if the tire diameter doesn't change, the "look" and need for lowering shouldn't change, but that would seem to be subjective. I'd say a large percentage of members like a lowered look over stock.

If I choose to go the route of getting new rims, if I get 16x7 , 5x100s , what offset to look factory and if I lower it with Eibach springs , can I use factory components to adjust camber and such? I like the 16x7s and also the 17x7s, just don't know what offset to get for the 17s to look factory looking. All 17s I've seen pictures of have had to be lowered to look like a factory look. Any suggestions for offsets for a factory look on a 16 and 17 inch wheel?
