I am about to install new weather stripping for the sunroof 87 Gt- I have been told that I can drill - 4 - 1/8" holes in the corners for drain holes - has anyone done this and does the water get channled to the ground like I have been told ? Thanks for the help

If your glass seals to the weather strip properly and the weather strip and rails are sealed to the roof properly, then there is no need to drill any "drain holes".
I never had any problems with mine. A lot of others seem to have a problem with the sealing so they are probably going to tell you need the holes.

Figured it wouldn't take long for the band aid "fix" to show up.

Like I said, make sure your tracks are sealed to the roof, the weather strip is sealed to the tracks, and the glass seals to the weather strip and you will be good to go.

87 should have the drain holes.
Pull up the seal at rear corners to check.

If roof is leaking w/ drain holes, latch is hosed etc.
