Using WCF mount and bracket. If you plan on running a 3800SC through a TH-125H it better be properly built with a longer clutch pack w high performance discs, a shift kit, some heavier internal parts and a built high stall speed torque converter. A worn TH-125H won't last long behind a 3800SC engine.

There is no good reason to use the TH125C behind a 3800 SC.

You will get better mileage with the 4T65E-HD.
You will get better performance with the 4T65E-HD.
You will get better dependability with the 4T65E-HD.

"A worn TH-125H won't last long behind a 3800SC engine".... a thousand $ later..... a built TH125 wont last either.

^^^^^^ what they said ^^^^^^

Maybe 86soon will start producing a nice front engine mount that bolts to both sides made of 1/4" steel for the 84-87???????

Do Not use the 125 with a 3800. it Will Not" take it", the MPG will be terrible. the 4t65e HD is cheap, and can be rebuilt for less than $200, (It's very easy, I did it, and I never rebuilt an automatic trans before) just get a DVD and a $150 Rebuild KIT. The "Special tools" amounted to a coat hanger and a piece if Threaded rod !)the only Extra part you SHOULD get is a" hardened 4th gear clutch shaft", they wear out in all the older trans. you have to make a wire harness, so wire it for the 4t65e trans. as for the front engine mount, you CAN use the orig fiero mount, but it is WAY advisable to use the setup (Don't recall Who Makes it) that uses 1 mount on" each side" (2) of the front of the engine. not 1.
