I have a good old head scratcher
My 3.4 will not rev over 3000 rpm when it is cold neither while reving it or while driving. (Its almost undrivable) then as it warms up it will rev over but rpms will slow between 3000 and 3500 and it still can't drive over 3000 and then when the engine has been ran for a while and is nice and hot it will eventually venture over the 3000 mark but will still have a slow point between 3000 and 35

3500 rpm
Does anyone have any clue on what may be wrong? I drove it yesterday when it was warm and was working great, even after sitting for a few hours I took it out and it worked good with little hiccups. But when I let it sit overnight it didn't want to start and didn't want to run even more so..

Help!!!

I currently have a fuel pump for a 2.5 which has significantly less psi than that of the 3.4. That is my next step is getting a new pump.
But I don't think that is the problem right now because when I try to get the car to run it will backfire a couple of tines. So there is fuel but I think it is a bad sensor. I'm doing the fuel pump this weekend. If it is. Sensor which one could it be?

If you got a 4 cyl fuel pump on a V6, put the correct pump in before you throw any more parts at it. Your 3.4 needs 38-42 psi to operate properly. With the 4cyl pump you are prolly only putting out 10-14 psi. While you are in there you might as well fix your fuel level sender so the guage reads more correctly.
