My '88 GT just started something new. The windshield wipers take a single full sweep, up and back to park, every 60+ seconds, even with the switch in the off position.

The w/s wipers seem to work normally, other than this problem.

Has anyone had this issue?

Does this mean the w/s wiper switch is bad and needs replacement?

Thanks for the help on this.

I hate hunting down electrical problems, I would rather pound my balls flat with a sledge hammer than hunt down an electrical problem.

Sorry just my opinion.

Has anyone tried a "1985-1992 CHEV S10 Wiper Switch, w/Intermittent Wipers & Tilt Wheel" for their '87-'88 Fiero?

No but I would be willing to bet they are the same, GM used many parts across their cars, lots of things were used in other vehicles over the same time. they have at junk yards a book, well now it is a computer program but its called a substitution/interchange book for all the parts that are interchangeable between one car and another. call a bone yard or parts store, they maybe able to tell you.

84fiero123, I think you are referring to the Hollander Interchange manual.
