This adapter will interface OBD2 with an Android phone. I have a 3800 and though this would be a good way to keep track of the engine. They make clone adapters starting at $10 that use Bluetooth interface with the android phone.

Which adapter are your using? Does it have a sleep mode?

What app are you using on your phone?

Please tell me your experiences.

BAFX blue label, I wouldn't use anything else, I went through 2 different adapters that would only work on half cars I tried them on or intermittently. Never had a single problem with this adapter http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-...sr=8-1&keywords=bafx

I've been using the OBDLink MX with Torque. Supports sleep and everything else, though at a different price point.
