86 GT, no engine or trans. I want to know if a 1800lb hitch mount winch can pull my GT up a car hauler.

Thanks!

The curb weight of the car is about 2800 lbs. The engine and trans don't weight 1000 lbs, so with that you would be a little over the 1800 lb winch load. Now, take into consideration that you're not lifting the car, but moving it up an incline that's probably not more than 45 degrees. The 1800 lb winch isn't maxed out at 1800 lbs. It will have some reserve. Probably 40-50% as most lifting devices have. You should be safe.

BTW, if you plan to use this vehicle in the future, DO NOT move the vehicle without axle stubs in place. You will destroy the rear hub bearings.
