Read Ogre's Cave article on TV Cable adjustment, and my car has been sitting a long time, before going back on the road last week. Changing fluids, tune ups, ball joint replacements are all on the list, as well as new paint.
Thought this looked like an easy procedure "just to make sure its right" before dark last night.
Button is way hard to push in, but finally got it, and moved the slider - then moved the throttle linkage all the way open - no ratcheting. pushed the button all the way again, and moved the slider all the way the other way (in case I read it wrong, so now the piece that ratchets is all the way out, again with the linkage, and nothing happened. Set it to about where it was (according to the dirt stain), and it drove in fine this morning.
Not overly concerned about it, but do have a couple of questions: Is the button supposed to be that hard to push, and should I lube the pieces a bit to see if I can get it to ratchet?
Thanks y'all!
Dave
