ok on my 88 fiero i have rebuilt the headlight motors they worked for like a week now they wont go up but they will go down any insight would be great and appreciated .

The switch can get sloppy. Have you done any work on that?

no i didnt touch that its been turning the headlights on and off its just the movement of the headlights i have a problem with they wont go up but they will go down

Part of the switch does that also. There are metal tabs that bend and loose contact. Try pushing the button in various ways to make the lights move.

The headlight motors get the voltage for 'down' from the headlight switch. The voltage for 'up' is provided by seperate wires that go thru the fuse links under the front hood. It's unlikely that both would blow together but check for voltage right after the fuse links.
