Hey, my deck lid torsion rod is broke, can it be welded? If not I guess it's deck lid struts, anyone got the specs on struts?

NO on the welding. Lots of extra bars are sitting in yards though....

Does this torsion rod open the deck lid like a torsion bar opens Delorean doors? My 85 GT just has a piston , not a torsion bar. Should it?
