I just installed the oem radio/cd player that I got from FieroTom today. It works great but I have a weird problem. When I turn on the cars parking lights the radio display goes out, the radio keeps playing. Any ideas on what this could be? Thanks

It's a grounding issue. If I was smarter I could tell you which ground, but maybe somebody else can. The stock radio uses 2 fuses.

Does it go completely off or just get dimmer? It's supposed to dim when you turn on your lights, but it sounds like it's dimming too much. Sounds to me like a defective radio. That dimming wire accepts 12V and is supposed to tell the radio it's time to dim. If there was a spurious ground you would probably pop a fuse, so it doesn't sounds like a ground issue to me.

The display goes off completely but the radio keeps playing. I am going to check fuses today and also check and see if the parking lights and turn signals are working correctly.
