As the title says I need to shorten the throttle cable on my 87GT ,If it were just shortening the internal cable,no problem,but I want to shorten the entire cable.Any help or advice will be appreciated,thanks!

I did this to mine. It's not too hard to do. Go to the gas pedal and pull the cable out more than what you want to cut off. Do this so that you don't cut the internal cable. Then mark off how far you want to cut and get to work with a hack saw. You could use a very fine tooth blade in a jig saw or saw saw. Then push the inner cable out and use electrical tape around it at the point you want to cut and use the saw again. Use caution not to unwind the cable when cutting.
