So I am about ready to replace my shift and select cables in my Formula (details below) and I am just wondering if anybody has any useful tips or tricks before I start. I've never replaced linkage cables on a vehicle before so it will be a learning experience.

I plan to use the instructions here to guide me through it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have a set of Rodney's cables on the way.

Clutch replaced ~1,500 miles ago
Flywheel replaced ~1,500 miles ago with new stock part
Motor and transmission mounts replaced ~500 miles ago

If you do a search on this subject you will inevitably end up on Rodney Dickman's web site, order his cables, and use his instructions. After all that you will be grinning from ear to ear as you motor off into the sunset.
