So I'm finding that my fiero (an 86gt 4 speed) does not want to downshift from 3rd into 2nd. It goes from 1st into 2nd just fine but doesn't want to downshift from 3rd. If I try to it will almost always either grind and/or pop out of gear. It seems to be a tine bit better when the car is warmed up. Heel-toe downshifting doesn't really seem to help at all. Anyone know what is wrong? Is it my syncros? Every other gear change works perfectly its just an issue when shifting from 3rd to 2nd. I run royal purple syncromesh transmission fluid in it and it was changed only a few thousand miles ago. The car has 150,000 miles on it.

From what you've stated, I would hazard to guess it's an adjustment issue... possibly the select cable.
