I have an 88 with a duke that is very hard starting when the engine is warmed up. I am talking bout 15 seconds of cranking before it will start. Any ideas?

My GT is hard to start unless it sits a while. I figured it was a leaking injector. I don't know why but holding the gas pedal down half way seemed to help. Maybe the ecm stops squirting fuel if you do that.

Pressing the gas pedal past a certain point during cranking will trigger flood clear mode, which lends credence to your self diagnosis...

88 2M4 also.
Had that same problem among others. Long story short, it was the fuel pump.
