when removing the "torque rods" for the trunk hinges, what Is the "Procedure" for removing the PINS ? (with hatch off) don't want to pop the rear window or break my fingers. LOL

The factory service manual recommends placing sections of plywood over the back glass behind the hinge area. I used small ratchet straps to relieve the tension of the torque rods where they contact the pins. Careful. Don't want a finger in there if something slips.
