OK, got the 3800SC "into" the 87 GT, I had to cut away about 1/2" off the bottom of the pass side trunk hinge. But , problem is: the supercharger Idle "pulley" is still touching the "Torque ROD" for that hinge ! Do I have to "LOSE" that torque rod ?? What have you other guys done about that ? and I did end up "raising" the floor of the trunk about 6" for room for the Muffler (1995Firebird). also, the 87 GT, only has 1 Heater Hose that" attaches to the Engine", (the other is "T" into the lower cooling hose. which "outlet" on the engine do I use for the 1 heater hose?? Thanks
upon further "Inspection", I see that Both Torque arms must be removed. 1 hits the tensioner pulley, the other comes down on the SC belt. Time for trunk lid struts.
using Fieroflyer mounts (Altered GP I think he said) with stock 2.8 rubber mount, and stock tensioner. sit level, and clears everything else. are you thinking the mount is too Tall ? I'd post pictures, but PIP keeps saying my pictures are too large, and I can't figure how to make them smaller.
On the few that I have done, the passenger side lift strut had to be removed but the drivers side barely cleared on autos and interfered on stick installs. With the 4T65eHD, all was good until the SSIC went on. On no install did the hinge bracket need to be trimmed.

I have never had to trim anything, even when using an intercooler. I have seen several installs where the decklid really had to be butchered because the mounts put the drivetrain too high.

Same here....Unless the Buick SC tensioner is trying to be used...They usually hit the firewall or are very close..
EVERYTHING is bone Stock on this 97 Rivera engine/trans (all rebuilt) sitting on Fieroflyer's Mounts. no low mount, all tensioners stock. hope these pictures show up
I've done 2 - one in an 86 and one in an 88 - both Autos. No interference with the hinge and or torque rods on either one. I'll see if I can find some pics.

Sorry didn't really read through but... I know I had to swap my Bonnie S/C belt tensioner for a Grand Prix one I believe. Maybe same for buicks? I removed the torsion rods but never had to cut anything else...
