I trying to figure out the perfect 17 inch wheel for stock bodied GT. I would like to go 17 X 8 all around, but I am unsure of the best offset. I would like the widest tire I can go with that diameter. What wheel size are you rolling on? Please mention if you have lowered you car as well. I would like a mild 1 inch drop but Im not sure I'll have the space (or a driveway that would accommodate).

This is in preparation for phase 1 of a GT build (Suspension rebuild and C4 Corvette brake kit). BTW, does anyone know if the brake kit that West Coast Fiero offers convert the hub to the C4 bolt pattern or does it us the stock Fiero?

And Hello!!! Im new here (not really, I was last on probably around 2002-2003). My name is Jeff and I've been infected with the Fiero bug again. It is a lifelong disease even if it goes into remission from time to time.

Thanks!! Looks like 42mm is the offset to go with. Does anyone have any recommendation for tires that will fill up the rest of the fender wheels on a 17" wheel? I searched the archives and didn't find specific tire size references for aftermarket wheels. Im sure there are there so feel free to chastise my ineptitude.

does the red line on the left show the frame or strut? I'm planning to run some 9.5" or 10" rims in the back with ~295 series tires or wider if I can fit them
