Well I was driving down the road going down a hill and noticed when I put the brakes on that the headlights would dim a bit. This on on an 84 Fiero..automatic...2.4...
Then the headlights, tail lights go out...Luckily there was a parking lot close...Only the lights are affected. The turn signals work and engine runs ok..Also the headlamps will not retrack either...Anyone have any ideas?

84 used different wire plans. You can't trust any 85&up FSM etc for this reason.

84 fuse links goes to starter. Check there.
