I posted this in the wrong spot before. Sorry to whoever has to erase the other one.
Here it is again.
I took the fiero out last night before it snowed. It started fine and idled fine. I started to drive it and as soon as it went to second gear the check engine light came on. I stopped at the store and started it again and it seemed not happy for a second then it smoothed out and ran nice, as soon as I got to second gear again the check engine light came on. I ordered a IAVC valve and a coolent temp valve already but any other ideas??

That would be you! Go back and delete your post before there are two threads discussing the same issue (which is a no-no here).

Groovy. I didn't know I could remove a post. I did it.
As for the diagnostic test I haven't done it yet but I will jump in to it in the morning. I will post what I find out. I have to drive it to get the light to come on and we have about 8" of snow and still falling so it should be fun. I will get pictures.

You don't have to get the light to come on......the Fiero ECM stores codes after the light goes off.
