Will metal '84 Fiero side trim fit in place on an '85 instead of the plastic?

Which side trim are you referring to that is metal on an 84? I'm pretty sure all of my 84 is plastic. If mine isn't original, then I assume it would be interchangeable if the later year fits on an 84.

Yeah I tore my '84 completely apart and do not remember any sort of metal side trim anywhere on the sides of the car.

The only things different from the other years on an '84 is the glass sail windows, the front fenders that have a slightly different way to mount on the tips and lower portion, and the rocker tabs which carry the "Body by Fisher" logos. And oh yeah, I had some weird little Pontiac arrowhead square emblems below my key locks that were dealer installed - I think those were metal

I had a bent piece of door trim and I took it off and straightened it. I looked like it was painted aluminum and straightened out like aluminum.

I guess you're right, I went out and took another look.

Thanks for the replies.
