I just rebuilt a 4t65e-HD trans for my 3800sc swap.(actually very easy) on the switch at the gear selector lever (where the 2 electronic connections go), on the 1998 switch there is a vacuum fitting, WHY ? there is no such fitting on the 1997 switch. thanks

I don't know, but it should be capped off. I have it on both my 1998 4T65E and my 4T65E-HD transmissions.
