Yeah, the analog vs. digital is obviously not a problem for the hardware, but there are probably software configuration details that determine whether that input triggers on a level, edge, slope or whatever... or where that processing happens. I thought that the LS1 sensor was an active unit that had a 12V supply and output a digital signal to the ECM.

It wasn't clear what you meant by "7x", as the pulse train from the trigger wheel doesn't go to the PCM in 60 degree applications.

I dont think it would be hard to build a little PIC to run a 6x to 24x spoof signal... You would need to emulate the second wheel and generate a strong output signal for both, but it wouldnt be impossible...

It *sounds* like what he wants to do is probably doable in software... But he just has to find the right switches in the code.

Even if it's not readily DIYable, he can probably buy a custom OS from EFI Live that would do it.

I'd probably have to do that, except that the Shelby programming to match the Northstar crank triggering and ignition to the LS1 hardware already exists.

no it wouldn't be impossible, but I'm trying not to add more hardware too. as Will said, I think this is possible in the stock PCM programming, still trying to get the equipment setup so I can run some tests to find out for sure though

I've been working on commenting a bin file(based on tiny tuner's table and switch addresses) , along with creating a "road map" of the programming, I'll post them up once I finish them.

whoo... 721 parameters. this is a "L67" bin, about 40 more then the short* bin, but I think it will be able to be adjusted for COP by simply changing the "engine type", and "crank sensor resolution" switches, it also supports boost out of the box, no questions asked.

there are a couple of oddities in tiny tuner here though;

two tables, one address
75a66-pe enrichment rate - rev limit hits for rev limit afr

one table, two addresses

I haven't investigated any of it yet.
