I took my exhaust off and I can here something loose rolling around by my cat. Anybody have an idea what it might be? Thinking about cutting off cat to find out.

Its the honeycomb stuff that makes the CAT work. Titanium Dioxide and some other metals. Exhaust gasses go through it and chemical reactions make the honeycomb slowly disappear. When they break loose like that they often plug up your exhaust.

I agree,if you have smogs checks in your state,its probubley time for a new cat.
