I need a new cam, lifters and perferably new rockers and springs.
A roller on one of the lifters was completely missing and the lifter is shattered in that area. The cam is scratched to hell and im kinda ticked.
Any advice on a nice cam??
I I enjoy horsepower so gimmie what you got.

So I guess I am getting an XP hot cam with Crow cam 140# springs and modified retainers and rollermaster double roller timing chain and Comp cams OE-R lifters....
I guess this is what happens when you find broken engine parts.

The lifter digging into the cam put metal shavings in the oil, so you probably should try to see if the shavings caused other damage. You might want to pull some main bearing and rod caps just to make sure the shavings didn't get past the filter.

No need for 140# springs with the XP nor a double roller...105# Crowes with modded retainers/stock chain then call it a day..

Dont worry. Pulled whole motor apart, cylinder walls look fantastic, main bearrings are scored pretty bad. rod bearings are pretty bad as well. I am getting the block hot tanked, the crank looked at (looks good feels good).

Mustang, zzp says its recomended to do those supporting mods, I know they are trying to up sell it. But do you have any experience with the xp cam?

Been running the XP on 105s and stock chain for last 6 years and about 75K. Just pulled a few months back to refreah and add MODs again. Chain had no stretch and tensioner was slighty wore with small corner missing. Went back with a fresh set of 105s and stock chain again. ZZP usez to reccomnend the 105s ubsure why they jumped to 140s now..

You will make more power with the 130# or more spring.

As Justin said, more power with 130+ springs. I ran 90, then 105, then 130lb springs on XP. More power and more stable at higher rpms with each spring upgrade.

10.263 @ 134.44MPH - 1.49 60'
Billet 6262 Precision turbo, PT1001 intercooler, ST1 cam, 130lb springs, comp pushrods, HV3, ARP Rod bolts, otherwise stock L36.

Old M90 XP Cam time -

If I had known this I would have went with heavier springs and chain when I had the motor out just to see what difference it would have made.

XP, 130 springs, double roller, ported heads, matched intake, zzp genV stage 2 intercooler, intake ported genV, 2.7" pulley I believe, northstar throttlebody, electric waterpump, overdrive SFI balancer, 3.29 gears, 3500 stall converter, 235/60r15 Mickey Thompson drag radials. Years of tune tweeking. Had pretty much everything you could do to a L67. Ran 11.80 non-intercooled with pretty much the same setup (ported gen3 blower, genV didn't run as quick non-Intercooled)
