I need to pull my 2.8 V6 and auto from my 86. The last time I did it, the trans lines weeped fluid the whole time. How can I plug those lines while disconnected? Maybe some off-the-shelf rubber cone-shaped stoppers?

Any suggestions?

Thanks! What can I do with the metal lines coming out of the trans?

The parts stores sell assortments of soft plastic or rubber caps that work well for capping hoses and metal lines.

Loop one of the hoses between the tranny side lines and the other hose between the chassis side lines.
