The car is 86 GT ---- Can someone tell me what the total weight of the 86 GT? Then I need to know what the weight is for the front and the rear? I would appreciate the help....

Lots of variation here. The advertised dry weight for the '86 GT was 2696 lbs. 2800 is probably an average operating weight. 45% is on the front tires and 55% on the rear. You can get more specific with the engine and transmission if you need to, or visit your local truck scale.

edit: Most scales are able to weigh front and back separately.

As Gall said, there is always some variation based on the options installed on the car, but here's what several magazines said about the '86 GT (all of which are fastback cars):

Road & Track Aug '86:
Curb Weight: 2860 lbs
Weight Dist (fr/rr): 43% / 57%

Car & Driver Feb '86:
Curb Weight: 2778 lbs
Weight Dist: 42.4% / 57.6%

Automobile Magazine Dec '86:
Curb Weight: 2761 lbs
Weight Dist: 43% / 57%
