Not quite...

V-6 to V-6 With same Transmission, yes.
L4 to L4 With same Transmission, yes.
V-6 to L4 or L4 to V-6 With same Transmission, should be yes.

Interior harness doesn't care much on engine or taillights. Does have changes for stick/auto trans.
All interior has correct fuses etc to run both engines.
Notch/GT Taillights are "programed" via jumper or not in C500.

Cruise control uses a "sub harness" that plugs into interior at C247 (Center Console, behind Radio). Some connectors and wiring are in all interior harness, C247 and wires to C500.

Good to know.

I had put an 87 gt v6 5 speed drop out in my 88 coupe (engine was a 3.4L) and everything plugged right in.
Dont have cruise, but good to know it can be added on seperately without going through all this trouble again
