Anyone implement TSB 738101R? It can be located by Google search or found in Ogre's Cave under oil sender. Ogre recommends the shield should be disregarded for the 85-87 V6. Instead, update to the 88 sender and modify the sender location as per the TSB for the 88 V6. How does the elimination of the sender tube affect oil pressure readings?

It shouldn't affect readings at all, there's no pressure drop in the tube. It does eliminate a common leak point and allow use of a more reliable sending unit.

TSB is 88822 or 88-8-22 depending on list you look for. Example Alldata list w/o dashes.

Correct.
