I pulled my egr tube to replace it and replace gaskets on it. There is oil in the tube, is this normal ? And the gasket on the end connecting to the plenum has a smaller hole in it than on the other end, is this the way it should be ? Thanks for any replies.

The EGR tube doesn't connect to the throttle body.

It's probably working it's way there from the breather tube which is stuck in the rubber elbow just before the TB. Some oil is probably "normal", although the less the better.

Yes. This stops a high idle run away condition if the EGR tube breaks off the flange.
