I searched and read every article, but I'm still confused. I tried to find a picture like the one i'm posting and couldn't find anything. I'm attaching to an 87GT. Do I need a modified thermostat housing? Where do these coolant lines go?

U dont need a modded t stat housing but its nice to have as a fill point. If u dong wanna go that route the run ur one heater hose to the fitting in the LIM..Then plug the small hole on the front housing.

Ok. So run heater hose to purple. Then Block off the Red. What about the orange? Does that get blocked as well? Pink goes to the passenger coolant tube correct?

Use PURPLE to feed heater core, you will need to tap the hole for the pipe thread for the nipple. Return the heater core to the passenger side coolant tube, like the stock routing.
RED should be tapped and plugged.
ORANGE area can be used for low mount alternator bracket attachment point using the mounting holes for the power steering pump.
PINK is attached to the passenger coolant tube, it is the inlet (feed) to the water pump from the radiator.
A modified Fiero thermostat housing is not needed.

What is the small hose that connects to the Fiero thermostat housing. What does it do? Is that the Fiero Heater core return?

For the 2.8 V-6......
There are four hoses that attach to the thermostat housing......
Large coolant discharge to radiator
medium coolant discharge to heater core
two small hoses for the throttle body coolant lines, one off of the thermostat housing, the other off of the heater core feed line.
The heater core return is either on the passenger side undercar coolant tube (87-88) or the pipe nipple on the waterpump housing (85-86).

If u use a modded Fiero housing then u use the smaller outlet for ur heater core and plug all the other open holes with metal freeze plugs...

I would just use the stock 3800 99 and newer alt bracket that has the heater hoses going through it and then you have a nice strong platform for the dog bone and a tensioner pulley for the belt. Dan
