Ok so Im at school right now and I am trying to find out what pistons to buy. I need to do .020 over to start with but I wanted to know what the max was.

well, if you wanna be a rebel, go for 94mm... when combined with a 3.31" stroke (3.1/3.4 crank), that will give you about a 3.5L displacement engine...

Maximum safe overbore is about 0.040" (i.e. 1.0mm) oversize.

ARI Racing used to offer a service to bore out the 2.8 block to 92mm but found that too many 2.8s had insufficient material to allow for such a large overbore. You would end up with a weak (too thin) cylinder wall or a break through during machining. They used to have an explanation on their site as to why they no longer offered the service, but it was a long time ago and its now gone completely. The biggest you can realistically go is 3.2L with the 3.1 crank or 2.9L with the 2.8 crank with the Fiero block.

yeah, that's why I said "if you wanna be a rebel"...
I'm sure if you spend money treating the block... Better off starting with a 3X00 block...
