I recently had a problem with my brake lights and I posted a question regarding the problem and thanks to all the tips I received....the problem has been rectified.

Now...I'm having a problem with my dash lights.
All the gauge lights are very dim all the time (except the radio lights, they are no affected). I purchased the dimmer replacement unit (the one that is under the dash) from the Fiero Store in hopes that it would correct the problem. It has not... any ideas out there? Any one had a similar problem? If so, how have you fixed it?

Thanks for any and all input, Carl

It's probably this one:

Located under the drivers side above your left foot. You carefully take it apart and clean the white gunk off. Watch the two long prongs. You do not want to mess up the connections.

See my Cave, Dash Dimmer

Guessing wheel is bad or still have problem on the dash cluster.

OE radio? Does dimmer dims the radio? If so... likely not the dimmer.

Use volt meter to check dimmer wheel works.
Warning: Don't short the transistor.
Pull transistor socket a bit and measure volts between grn/wht and ground.
Volts will move when wheel is turned.

other trans pins
D 12-14v when HL switch in on
C Volts will move more when wheel is turned.

But C can lie when the cluster etc has problems.
