Hey everyone. Having some issues with my 3800 II SC car. It runs great but when it gets to temperature the cooling fan will not click on. The fan comes on with the ac so it works. I have good grounds for the engine and electrical system. The thermostat is a new zzp 180 degree one, it works. I can feel it pop. The system has been burped and filled correctly. The car also has a new fan relay. All fuses have been checked. I am also getting good pressure in the lines both up to and back from the rad. The water pump is also new. When the coolant gets hot and I shut the car off coolant will come leaking out of the passenger side area of the rad (not sure if this is normal) Any ideas? New rad? problem with my computer? problem with the coolant temp sensor? Any help will be appreciated.

PCM should put out a ground when the programmed fan on temp is reached the ground should go through the C500 through the car all the way to the fan relay under the driver's headlight. Check to see if there is a ground at the relay green with white wire when the engine is hot. Might be wiring, a bad connection, a bad relay which I doubt if the A/C is turning on the fan, bad PCM or just not programmed properly in the PCM. Stock fan on temps in the 3800 PCM are too high to start with from the factory for most peoples liking. Dan

How do I check to see if there is ground at that green and white wire? Ive got a multimeter what settings do I use on it? Do I pull the relay off put an electrode in the green and white connector and then to the frame? Do I need to have the red connector connected to 12v? Electrical is not my area of expertise. I have a feeling it is the computer. I recently bought an aeroforce scan gauge and it will not read any codes off that computer.
