Just cough up the money for Comp Cams roller rockers, it isn't that much and you get a quality part. I run them on my 3.2 turbo as well as my 3.4 normally aspirated engines.
im going to the junkyard for these they are stamped... of course Id cough up the money, I just dont want to, not for a stock 2.8
If I can convince you otherwise, it makes a pretty substantial difference in fuel economy, sound, and cooling in the top-end of the engine. The motor also revs up quicker as a result of it having a roller tip.
I bought a set that were for a 3.1 from WOT at the 60 degree V6 forum for my 3.4 hybrid swap. I don't know what they were off of but you could find out there. I had a set of roller tip rockers on the 3.1 in my '86 S10 Blazer and they slid of the valves and rounded the valve tip.

The 10th digit of the Vin will be "R"(1994) or "S"(1995) on the cars that have these rocker arms. You will need to get the pushrod guide plates from the 94-95 3100 along w/ the rocker arms... also take the pivot balls w/ the rockers, but inspect them for any gouging, etc. beforehand.

you wont have to get anything exept the pivot ball and rocker arm (and maybe the stud and pushrod IF there is a difference)* the 3100 uses aluminum heads, so the design is different than the fiero's, that is why I'm sure you wouldn't need any of the guides, since they are for a different head design.
The 3100 uses 1.6 stamped rockerarms, the ball type, 10mm shaft I think. I have a set sitting here. And, no, the 3100 guide plates don't fit the iron heads. Larry

Alrighty, thanks for the input, I looked at that link and the guys were talking about some of the differences. IF the shaft is 10mm, all the better because that is what the 1st gen (iron head) 60* uses as well.
they fit great! no problems, there is a little tang to over the oiling hole on the top of the rocker where the oil from the pushrod comes up from and you can use that as the primary identifier to tell the 1.5 rockers apart from the 1.6 rockers.
I can definitely tell a slight power increase, on the feeling of acceleration.
if someone is going for a budget build on their 2.8-3.4, these would be a great.
